can u prescribe any medication for it. I work in a hot and humid place and wear steel toed boot for 15 hrs a day
Brief Answer:
Tinea pedis, requires oral and topical antifungals
Detailed Answer:
I have reviewed the attached photograph and you are having tinea pedis which is a fungal infection.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply clotrimazole cream on the affected areas twice daily along with tablet itraconazole 100 mg twice daily for 2 -3 weeks depending on the response.
These are prescription medicines and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
For itching you can take tablet Loratidine 10 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching.
Moreover try to keep the area dry, avoid wearing synthetic socks, wear cotton socks, avoid sharing of socks, shoes and towels and wear open footwear when not at work as moisture aggravates the infection.
I hope this is of help to you and wish you speedy recovery.
