What Causes Peeling Up Of Skin?
Dry skin possibly. require images
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Peeling of skin is due to repeated irritation of skin.
2. Most commonly it is dryness. Application of moisturizer or Vaseline should reduce it.
3. Soap also needs to be changed to something mild. Do change your soap as present soap if possible.
4. Good protein intake to build up nutrition is essential. Avoid too many oily items. Try wearing complete hand covering gloves until it heals completely.
5. If you can send a clear picture of skin peeling in your hand, I can be more helpful.
6. Lemon with warm water in morning is good. It will improve the overall body metabolism and also good amount of vit C. Daily take plenty of water also.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
Stop Pregeb M, if no burning pain.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
In our earlier discussion, I did not find Fluka-150. I found only Pregeb-M. Usually Pregeb-M is more often used in neuropathic pain. Eg: when you have a burning pain, commonly in herpes shingles.
However, your skin lesions, I have one small doubt, whether, it starts as vesicles, blisters or blebs. On images, it looks like brownish areas, I am not able to appreciate any sort of blebs. I need to know, because, if it starts or started as blebs, it could be more allergic.
Also can you confirm, whether any steroid treatment was given you to you any time and how long.
However, considering it fungal infection at present, we can try the following.
1. Twice daily salicyclic acid 6% (salicilix-6 lotion) - apply it on all areas affected.
2. Start on Oral griseofulvin 375mg every day for a week. Look for response. If using both, its improving, then continue it till all areas are normal. Then, you can stop it.
Regarding pregeb M, I would advise you to stop it, unless you have some burning pain anywhere. It is not helping you anyway and also has plenty of side effects.
Fluka-150, once a week, wont help any way. It has to be taken daily atleast 50-100 mg/day to anyway help.
Do take the prescription from your doctor for the medications, I advised. If not improving after a week, we have to think of allergic. Do look into other things, I advised during our first discussion.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
