What Causes Pelvic Pain Post Multiple C-sections?

Question: 36 years old. Have had 5 children. 2 c sections and a leep procedure. For the last month ive been experiencing pelvic pain that goes through to my back and occasionally down my right inner thigh. Have been having irregular periods, bleeding or spotting between periods, pain during intercourse, loss of appetite, and when i do i eat im full almost immediately. Had a pap that came back normal, regular blood work all normal, thyroid normal. The pain feels like it is coming from my right ovary. To rule out appendix and kidney issues i went to the doctor and had a ct scan. Everything normal on that as well. A week ago i had an ultrasound and transvaginal ultra sound and the tech could not find my right ovary, when she did find it i couldnt tell i was looking at an ovary. She showed me the outline but it was like it was covered up or cloudy, its hard to explain. My left ovary was clearly visible. Would a ct scan have shown a tumor surrounding my ovary? Would a ct scan miss something like that? Im awaiting results from the ultrasound but im concerned that something is being missed. Please help.

I have read you query and I understand your concerns about the missing ovary.

Following is my reply:

1) You seem to be having adhesions in abdomen which generally appear after multiple surgeries ( 2 CS).

2) Adhesion means sticking of one part to another. For example sticking of ovary to bowel , bowel to abdominal wall / uterus etc..

3) These adhesions cause pelvic and abdominal pain as you described. Moreover ovary gets adherent and displaced from its original position making it difficult to visualise on ultrasound scan.

4) I am sure right ovary is in place but just adherent. I dont think you need to worry about tumor or cancer.

Hi,

Initially it is treated by medicines containing serratiopeptidase.

If pain becomes severe , it is necessary to release adhesions by laparoscopic surgery.
