What Causes Penile Burning Sensation While Urinating?
Question: Hi,
I am facing penail burning sensation for more than 30 days. But nothing showed up in the Urine culture and STD(Chlamydia,Gonorrea) reports. HIV and Syphilis also negative. Herpes test is in pending. Really I am worrying a lot. Currently I am taking Doxycycline for 7 days course.
I am facing penis burning sensation. But I dnt have any sores, itches near or in around of Genital area.
Could someone please tell me the symptoms of Herpes? ACtually I am worried too much now. Does Herpes causes Penis Burning sensation?

Burning only during urination concerned with urethra. When there is no sign of infections like Gonorrhea and Chlamydia on examination and investigations consuming plenty of water will relieve the symptoms. If the burning sensation is present over the Penis, it may either be due to yeast infection or Herpes type 2 infection.
In herpes it would be mostly present 1-2 days before the real manifestations as a prodromal symptom, and not persisting for days together. So rule out yeast infection.

But here they did all the Urine culture test and didn't find anything. Could you please let me know what is the test for yeast infection so that I can inform my doctor to do..

Yeast can be detected both in wet and dry smear examination

In Yeast infection you will have mild redness over the glans (head of Penis) and slight white deposit over the glans. It can be detected by both wet smear (KOH), and Gram's staining method from dry smear. If infection confirmed, partner is also to be treated.
