What Causes Peripancreatic Lymph Node Enlargement?
Probably an inflammation!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this swollen lymph node. Swollen lymph nodes are a sign of a reaction of the surrounding lymph nodes of an inflammation of neighboring organs: This could be the pancreas and its surrounding tissue. Also, the size of this lymph node and whether there are any others will also guide in evoking possible causes. If the size remains a concern and not answers are obtained, we will certainly get a biopsy to analyze for more answers.
In all, this is a response to an inflammation. Depending on size, presence of other lymph nodes or not, we may get a biopsy for answers. With a normal CT-scan, this is very comforting!
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
