Question: Hello Iam going through a lot of mental problems right now. I have a problem though, Iam sexually aroused 24/7 and it won't go down. Would you happen to have any scientific explanation for this?

Brief Answer:
The sexual health is closely connected with the brain chemistry.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.
I am sorry for the problems you are going through. I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

Mental health problems are affecting the sexual system as well, because the chemistry of the brain its affected by these problems and the sexual health it is very much connected with it. If you are in a good mood, you can have sexual desire more then when you are in a low mood. So depending on the mental health problem you have, it will give you different reactions.

Sometimes also, you may be low on mood, but you are taking medications which will give that effect on sexual chemistry.

So, since I don't know for sure the age you have, the problems you are having, the medications you are using, for how long you have been using them, ect...my recommendation would be to work with your doctor on adapting the dose of your medication so you will be able to have a normal sexual life, if what you have not its bothering you. Sometimes this is not possible and you will need to change the medication to another one. Needs a close cooperation with your doctor, patience, talk with him/her and be open on what concerns you and what its going on your mind.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications. I will be happy to be of help somehow. I am here to support you as much as I can.
