What Causes Persistent Back Pain And Sleeplessness After Using TruTens Machine?

Question: hello, how are you? i was seeing orthopaedic doctor two weeks ago..and he gave me machine that uses electrodes - called TRUTENS for my back pains.
he told me not to use it more than 20 minutes..which i did it till tonight. tonight i fell asleep with it..i woke up after an hour...but when i woke up it didn't work so it might be worked less than one hour... but the worst case it was an hour....and I'm little concern , i can't go to sleep... please assist :(

I understand your concern.

TruTens machine is used as per doctor's advice depending on your actual health status, pain severity, and how good your response to this treatment is.

If your doctor asked not to use more than 20 minutes, perhaps the severity of the pain was not of high range, and you might have shown good response to this treatment.

If you used more than 20min that's not the end. Nothing worrisome will happen to you. Furthermore, I think the machine was pre-fixed to work for 20mins (if you found it not working after waking in an hour). So, try to relax and enjoy your sleep painless.

In case you'll feel any unusual symptoms, contact with your pain doctor who recommended this pain relief machine.
