Question: I have had chest and upper back pain/pressure for two weeks now. My chest pops about once per day and the pressure is relieved temporarily. I feel pins and needles on the back of my head at times and am having trouble sleeping. I am a 34 year old female, 5'5" and 120 lbs, not overweight.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your question.
Chest and back pain and pressure call for an in-person physical exam by a doctor. You also need basic bloodwork such as a CBC, BMP, thyroid function tests, and an EKG. Per your description this is very most likely musculoskeletal pain and not dangerous, which may respond to painkillers like Motrin, but more serious problems need to be ruled out. Anxiety may also be playing a role evidenced by your trouble sleeping. You might benefit from psychotherapy. But first I would visit a doctor for a basic physical exam.
