
What Causes Persistent Cold And Cough?

Question: I usually suffer from cold and cough regardless any weather. Some times it erupted suddenly .After that my nose start running, followed by cough.
Once cough start it take time to setteldown.Currently I am suffering from cough for more than 15 days so, I visited to doctor for same. He gave one cough siraf and one anti allergic medicine and antibiotic.
Here I want to know how can I get curable from cough and cold in regular basis.

Is your cough associated with sputum or mucus or fever?- No Sputum no fever. mostly suffer with dry cough. But when I take steam two or three times then after some mucus start.
Do you have any gastric problem other than cold?- Asthma nothing ells. as per my knowledge.
Do you smoke?- No

Generally I don't use medicine for cough but this time I took it.

Recurrent cold mostly due to allergy it could be dust allergy or due to changes in weather.
Sometimes cold can cause upper respiratory tract infection which gives you cough.
I would suggest you montec Lc (montelukast with levocetrzine) once a day for 5 days before bed, if it is not there in your current medications.
Nasoclear nasal saline drops. 2 drops in each nostril 4-6 times a day.
you can provide you medication details tomorrow.
Steam inhalation twice a day. Avoid spicy food.
Continue current medications.
