What Causes Persistent Delay In Menstrual Bleeding?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Hello Doctor,
My lmp was 1st April. I generally get delayed periods (by 5 days). Last time also had this issue, more delayed and with ur help/ advice could get them by taking medicines. I hv some spiritual tour lined up from this Sunday and was hoping to be done with my periods by then!!! Since yesterday I hv been trying some home remedies to get them but no luck yet.. I'll hv to miss the XXXXXXX if I don't get the periods today. Or another option is to delay till next sunday by taking some tablets. Can I just continue home remedy to get periods today and then start some tablets from tomorrow to postpone them for another week if I don't get them today? Is that possible now? Can you please advise? I do not want to miss out on XXXXXXX and sit in the cab/ hotel. Please advise.
Thank you very much in advance.

Brief Answer:
Better to delay the periods
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
In your scenario, it is better to postpone the periods rather than trying to induce them early as the latter method is not sureshot and periods can come anytime.
I will suggest you to take regestrone tablets twice a day from today onwards and continue it till you want to delay the periods.
The periods will come within 5-7 days of stopping the tablet.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
