What Causes Persistent Diarrhea And Fever?
Question: Can anyone please take a look at the pictures I have of a recent bowl movement? I am quite concerned and would like an idea of what it is. There is pink tissue that sank to the bottom with strings attached that floated to the top. I did not eating anything different/ unusual, or anything stringy like spaghetti etc.

The picture show mucus in the stool.
The mucus can be normal. Since this is the first time you should not worry. Do you have loose stools or abdominal pain?
If the problem repeats or accompanied by fever, diarrhoea or blood in the stool please see a local doctor.

I have had mucus in my stool many times and it did not look anything like this ei. stringy or like worms. also what about all the pink fleshy tissue that is also present??

Since this is a new or varied from your general stool in appearance it is better investigated with stool microscopy to start with. They can check for occult blood in the stool. I guess the mucus is mixed with some blood.
The blood could be because of inflammation or infection in the gut.
So first thing get a stool microscopy done. It can give some answers.
