What Causes Persistent Fatigue, Weight Gain And Irregular Periods?
Question: hi, I have for the last 2 years been feeling so tired, weight gain, irregular periods and I have gone to my doctor to take Thyroid test but they have come back fine. Now I went to a private test center as I can't take this anymore and they could take more tests including Free t4 and free t3 but after you are on your own as they had no doctors to guide me with the results. Here in Denmark its not taken really serious if you think you have a thyroid problem and we can't even get natural thyroid medicin like thyroid armour. Well, can you help with results. thyroglobin high 40.5 ng/ml, free t4 1.0 ng/dl, free t3 1,3 pg/nl, tsh 1.5 iu7ml, reverse t3 25 ng/dl. I am 48 years old.
Brief Answer:
Normal thyroid status
Detailed Answer:
Good day
Noted your question and the thyroid blood results. Sorry to hear about your symptoms. The thyroid blood tests which you mentioned is normal. In the presence of a normal TSH and Free T4, ,a thyroglobulin test has no great relevance. Do you have an enlarged thyroid gland? Could you attach the reports?
We must look for an alternate cause of weight gain and other symptoms including searching for Cushing's syndrome.
