What Causes Persistent Fatigue?
Question: Dr. Mendiratta, you don't have to respond to this since I haven't got my gene testing results back yet. I just needed to talk. It has been at least three years of suffering and one year since I made it aware to my therapist that I was really sick. Since then they have added meds, taken away meds, told me it was all in my head, done testosterone therapy, and now gene testing. It is very difficult not to lose hope. No one could work or even function normally feeling this bad. I hope that you are doing well. XXXXXXX
Brief Answer:
Continue to keep hope
Detailed Answer:
Good evening XXXXXXX
Yes, I totally understand how you have been feeling. This type of prolonged fatigue and not able to come out of it can make you feel low. But the good part is, it hasnt involved any of your internal organs yet, so at least we are safe about that. But keeping hope and being positive is the prime thing one needs to do to feel better, as the medicines can only give 60 % improvement. Rest is the positive outlook. I just hope we can figure something out from your gene testing, to help us move forward. But be positive and work on a good outlook
Do let me know when the results come out
