The fever is intermittent . I take Tylenol around 39c and then it goes up to 39.5 or so before going down. I get chills and sweating at night. Slight weight loss. I have proteinurea. I get fever blisters and swollen glands under my chin. I have a cat.

Brief Answer:
Get Investigated.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Possibility of Tuberculosis, Brucellosis is there
Also important is to find the cause behind your proteinuria.
I would advise you to get following investigations:
1. Hemogram with ESR
2. Liver and Kidney Function Test.
3. Brucellosis Antibodies.
4. Xray Chest
5. Ultrasound Abdomen.
Presence of lymph nodes is also significant. I don't understand that why your doctor is not doing your workup.
Discuss my opinion with him. Get these tests done and write back to me.
Stay Healthy.
