What Causes Persistent Headaches Despite Taking Medication?

default
Posted on Tue, 14 Feb 2017
Question: Good morning Dr. XXXXXXX I am taking following medicines as per your advise for the last 4 months for the treatment of my chronic headache:

1. Betacap TR 40 (once in the morning only)
2. Tryptomer 10 mg (once at night)
3. Sibelium 10 mg (once at night)

Though there is lot of relief but still I get headache once or twice a week and I have to take pain killer. Also the sleep is not very sound and I have to get up 3-4 times at night. Please advise if I need to continue with the same set of medicines or some change is required to control the occurrence of headache.

Modify treatment as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Welcome back
You can increase the dose of Tryptomer to 25 mg at night and continue rest medications as it is.
This will help in headache and sleep disturbances too.
Follow the precautions and lifestyle modifications as discussed earlier.
Wishing you good health and early recovery.
