What Causes Persistent Itching Sensation On Inner Thighs?

Question: Hello Sir/Madam
I have continuous itching on inner thighs
and due to that some rashes are there on both the thighs.
I have tried some ointments (like quadriderm and ornoderm )
I have also applied dettol with cotton on those areas, but those worked temporarily

Thanks for posting your query on healthcaremagic.

It could either be allergy or fungal infection. Does it happen due to rubbing of synthetic clothes?

I would suggest the following:
- Apply antifungal lotion or ointment like Zole-F
- Can also try antiallergic mediicne like cetirizine to be taken twice a day to control the itch
- Avoid oral antibiotics as much as possible
- Avoid rubbing of synthetic clothes
- Since it is flexural area, it is prone to wetness. Wear clothes in such a way that it gets dry quickly. Wear loose cotton clothes through which air can pass.
- Improve your immunity with fruits/salads, regular exercise
- Cleanest drinking water to avoid water borne infections
- Consult dermatologist if this does not get better in two days
