Posted on Mon, 22 Jun 2015
Question: I have horrible anxiety and just went through a divorce last september. It seems as though in the past few weeks I have been diagnosing myslef with everything under the sun. I spend entirely to much time on the internet diagnosing myself which then makes my anxiety worsen. Long and short I have jaw pain on both sides and my head feels so heavy. I sometimes wear my hair back and it feels like my head could fall over. The jaw pain is what has me concerned it is a constant aching pain and then I have the heavy feeling in my head.

Brief Answer:
Buprenorphine 5 mg transdermal patch

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Since you are having jaw pain and you are not getting relief with ibuprofen i would advise you to apply buprenorphine 5 mg transdermal patch locally

You can apply the patch below the collar bone area

It will control your pain for 7 days after which you have to replace it with a new one

You need a doctors prescription for it

If the jaw pain and feeling of head being heavy does not resolve within 2 weeks you need to do a CT scan of head and face region

Brief Answer:
Could be temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder

Detailed Answer:
Hi

The cause of your jaw pain and heaviness in head could be due to temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder

It occurs due to arthritis that is inflammation in the temporomandibuar joint region which is the hinge that connects your jaw to the temporal bones of your skull
