Hello. Thank you for your explanation. I am currently on synthroid for hashimoto but it hasn't been the first time though as I took the medication for some time stopped and now I'm back on it and the first time I did not experience eyelash loss. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Hashimoto's is the cause in your case.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

I apologise for the delayed response owing to my work schedule.

Hashimoto's disease probably is the main cause of loss of eyelashes.

You are not supposed to stop the treatment with synthroid at any moment .

Thyroxine supplementation is required on lifelong basis in individuals with HD.

Once the hormone levels are normalized with adequate doses of synthroid, you will not experience the loss of eyelashes.

Make sure you have monitoring of thyroid function every 8 weeks to precisely stay in control of HD.

Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Lost eye lashes will regain slowly.

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Madam.

In case if all the blood reports are normal, and continue to stay so in presence of synthroid therapy.

You should slowly regain the lost eyelashes.

In case if you continue to lose eye lashes, then topical medications like Minoxidil for a short term can help to regrow them.

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these medications like you.

But in majority cases, you will regrow lost eye lashes with correction of thyroid hormone levels.

Thank you.
