What Causes Persistent Low Grade Fever, Cough And Headache?

Question: I am running a low grade 99-100 temperature for over 14 days. I went to my pulmonologist and he gave me Augmentent for 10 days, steroid shot and a shot of rocephin. I had a cough and a headache, and a ached across my back. Went back and I was given an X-ray. X-ray came back ok. My pulmonologist then sent me to a ear nose and throat specialist(ENT) . He ran a tube down my nose and ENT IS SENING ME FOR A cat scan of my sinuses on Monday. Looking to see if I have mold in my sinuses. I am still running the low grade temperature. What else should be done. I am tired of this fever.
Brief Answer:
Possible need for CT of chest
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
I think the CT of your sinuses is a good idea but with bronchiectasis you may also be harboring some sort of infection in your lungs that is not showing up on Xrays. If the CT of the sinuses does not show the cause for your fevers then the next thing I would do is look at a CT of the chest.
Make sure they have checked your urine as well. Sometimes women can have a bladder infection causing low grade fevers yet have no symptoms.
I hope they find the cause of the fevers soon and develop and effective treatment plan so you can feel well again.
