What Causes Persistent Pain In Lower Abdomen And Back Despite Taking Medication?

Question: hi. I have a history of polycystic ovaries and im 23. For around a week now I have experienced a dull ache in my lower abdomen and lower back, and it's constant. hurts more when I need to urinate, aches more when I do urinate. I saw my doctor 2 days ago and he tested my urine and it was clear. He gave me painkillers and mefenamic and said he thinks a cyst has twisted and to wait. I don't feel as though my pain has improved and it's really affecting me because I drive a lot and when I am sat down my clothes dig in. What shall I do?
Brief Answer:
You need to have an ultrasound and or CT of your pelvis and abdomen
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM. After the medical contact that you have had and no symptoms relief with pain medications, you will benefit from having imaging (ultrasound and or CT of your abdomen). Please note that you need to have a better grasp as to what is happening and I truly believe that imaging will provide you with much needed answers. I hope this helps and good luck.
