What Causes Persistent Pain In The Back?

Question: I had persistent sharp pains in the lower center of my back and what I thought was a bladder infection. Burning and urgency in urination. Now I also have a vaginal yeast infection. Is there any connection with the back pain, the bladder infection and a yeast infection? They seemed to come on at the same time.

Welcome to healthcare magic. I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.

I have read your notes.
The back pain is not related to the infection. It is probably due to age related osteoporosis.
It could also be due to muscle sprain. Take anti inflammatory medication like Ibuprofen 400 mg twice daily for two days and see. If it is not relieved you need to see Orthopedician.

The antibiotics taken for urinary tract infection seems to have triggered vaginal fungal infection. Over the counter Azo that has been given to you should resolve the vaginal infection.
