Brief Answer:
get pus culture done
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Glad to hear from you again.
As there is persistent pus discharge, so the antibiotics being given to you post surgery are not working. And so i would advice that you get a pus culture and sensitivity test of the same, so that more specific antibiotics can be started to better control the infection.
And as you are saying the the site of pus discharge and the site of surgery are different, then you need to see another surgeon and another surgery might be needed, after proper investigation like MR fistulogram to clearly delineate the tracks for their correct management.
Hope i have been helpful.
