What Causes Persistent Right-sided Abdominal Pain That Eases After Vomiting?

Question: I had food poisoning a week ago with terrible gut pain, especially on the right side. I drank Gatorade and did a great deal of vomiting and by the next afternoon was better. That same pain in my gut on the right side is back and I have fought this for 7hours and no relief. I have had a number of stools that are hardly moving anything. Stomach pains remind me of labor but I/m 77 Just vomited and some relieved.

Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist.
In my opinion take plenty of fluid and electral powder to prevent fluid and electrolyte insufficiency. Also take a course of probiotics along with antispasmodic like drotavarine that will help in relieving your pain.. And for vomiting take an antiemetic agent like ondansetron. Meanwhile get your blood and stool examine (Complete haemogram and stool routine microscopy) to see for any infection and if it is there then a course of antibiotic like ofloxacin will also be required.
I hope I have answered your query and this will help you . Wish you a good health
