What Causes Persistent Sharp Pain Under Right Rib Cage?
Question: I have been getting random sharp pains under my right rib cage for two days
Brief Answer:
possible gallbladder stones
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
If this pain is associated and aggravated after movement or breathing then this may be neuromuscular issue and you should just rest and take nonsteroid painkillers.
If this is not related to movements then this may indicate gallbladder stones and you should do ultrasound to rule this out. Also, change your diet, avoid alcohol, fried food, fats and coffee. However, if stones in gallbladder is confirmed then surgery is recommended. Wish you good health.
