![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: About 2 weeks ago I dropped a large board on the top of my foot it left a couple scratches but no swelling or bruising... Now I have pain in the area where the board hit and slight swelling but no bruising. My whole foot aches.. Could I have possibly fractured my foot and not known it??
Brief Answer:
Can be due to a fracture.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
If there is a persistent swelling and pain even after 2 weeks of injury then a minor hairline fracture is possible. This can be detected only after an X-ray of the foot. You should avoid any weight bearing on the foot, avoid all painful movements and keep the foot elevated on two pillows while resting.
I hope this answers your query.
