What Causes Persistent Vaginal Bleeding While On Megestrol Acetate?

Question: Hi! My doctor prescribed for me Megestrol Acetate to help with bleeding that has been going on for 3 weeks. I took 3 doses on Thursday, 1 dose yesterday, and 2 doses today. She also put me on a birth control pill to try to regulate my hormone levels, which I started yesterday. I have had the Essure for about 5 years now. While the bleeding has slowed down, it has not stopped. Should I call her Monday if it hasn't stopped yet? Also, does this sound like a hormone issue or something serious. I am concerned because my body isn't really responding.
