What Causes Persitent Burning Sensation In The Penis?

Question: hi I am facing penis burning sensation from last 20 days. they did Urine culture, Chlamydia and Gonorraea test but everything came negative. So initialy for 5 days I was on ciprofloxacin but no improvement then doctor it is might be due to Urea Plasma Bacteria and gave me Azithromycin single dose(1g), then 3 days(500 mg + 250mg+ 250 mg) but still no improvement at all. Could you please help me out what would be the cause? Or any symptoms of herpes or syphilis?

Could someone please check my question and reply me? I am worrying a lot..!

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have burning sensation in penis since 3 weeks .

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Did you have unprotected sex preceding the pain in penis ?
2) Do you have pain during erection and ejaculation ?

The pain that you have with negative culture findings is mostly due to inflammation of Urethra (Urethritis).

Since you do not have any signs and symptoms pertaining to Herpes or Syphilis you should not worry at all about it .

Take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily for 10 days .

It should resolve your problem .

Thanks for your reply.

Nope. I am not a sexually active person also. And I am getting burning while ejaculate but not during erection.

I was prescribed Ciprofloxacin for 7 days but it didn't improve my symptoms at all so my doctor thought it might be due to Urea Plasma Bacteria also. Then he gave me Azithromycin 1 mg in single dose then and again the same for 3 days ( 500mg+250mg+250mg).

Its been 25 days but there is no improvement at all. They took even CT scan and everything came fine(kidney,spleen,prostate,liver).

And top of that I lost 10 kg in 1 month and stool also going like a thread. Whatever I eat it comes in my stool. Just before this problem I had liver enzymes
ALT and AST elevated some 15 points but now it came back normal.

Kindly advise whether do I need to take any other STD tests.

Since you are do not have unprotected sex with unknown woman it is most likely not to be due to STD .

STD test done once are negative hence it is not necessary to repeat the same .

Sure Thank you. They did only two STD tests(Chlaymidia,Gonorrea) which came back negative. Just for the confirmation.. No need to take any HIV,Herpes or Syphilis test right?
