Hi,

Thanks for sending your query to us.

Photophobia after cataract surgery is common, and usually patients take approximately 4-6 weeks to recover completely. The reason is that there is hindrance in the passage of light which is removed and there is quick recovery of vision, the light to which retina is not used to.

Since you have been examined thoroughly by the doctor and they have not been able to find any defect then can safely presume that you have had a good surgery.

Try to wean yourself away from dark glasses ,do not use dark glasses in doors in artificial light, Keterolac eye drops put in 3 times a day can be of some help.

Have your eyes checked again as a second opinion in case there is a defect in surgery.
Please do get back to me in case of any further query in this regard.
