Question: Had a pimple like bump appear last week around my waistline or a little above it, my wife popped some pus out of it , but it still is there, this time nothing comes out . Honestly lately I have been touching it a lot so it is my mistake to do so. I just wanted to feel it, but over the few hours I Made it look red. I am sending a couple of pictures of it so you can see. it really doesn't hurt, only lately that I touched it a lot last few hours. But I have not touched it much the last few hours , just weird to feel it there.

detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare magic.

I read carefully your query and I have gone through the pictures you sent.

It seems to be just a localized bacterial infection of the skin (probably folliculitis).
Popping it,touching it all the time only makes the inflammation worse and prolongs the healing time.
You don't need to worry. It is just a localized infection and it heals on it's own in 1-2 weeks. It is very important not to squeeze or touch it so it can heal.
It is normal to feel a little lump under the red area. This is due to inflammation and the reaction of the body to infection. It will go away gradually.
You can apply some warm compresses and probably a topical antibacterial like neosporin up to 4 times a day for some days.

If the inflammation get worse ,painful ,the red area get's bigger etc ,you need to see you doctor. In this case oral antibiotics are necessary to treat the infection.

Right now ,stop touching it and give is some time to heal properly.

Hope it helps.
Please feel free to ask for every question you might have.
