Brief Answer:
Demelan cream is good.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.

I have read your query and understand the concern.

For facial acne marks and dark areas of lips, you should use kojic acid based preparations like kojic acid soap or kojic acid cream (like you asked about demelan cream containing glycolic acid, arbutin and kojic acid) which will help to lighten the darker areas gradually with once daily application at night time.

Also take vitamin C and vitamin E which is also helpful to whiten the darker skin areas.

If you are not comfortable with rejuglow c20 vitamin C cream or it causes pimples over the face, then it would be better to discontinue it.

There are other preparations like hydroquinone and tretinoin (Melabest 2% cream) which is also a good de-pigmenting agent and helps to lighten the dark marks or circles but has several side effects and so,it should be used under the supervision of dermatologist only.

Avoid excess sun exposure. You can use sunscreens on sun exposing parts to avoid tanning also.

A good sunscreen should be used having broad spectrum UV A with UV B coverage (LAKME sunscreen lotion 30 spf) in order to prevent tanning and it needs to be applied in sufficient quantity like 3ml for face and neck (a little more than 1/2 teaspoon) every 2-3 hourly when you have to go outside in sunlight.

However,we won't be able to change our facial complexion completely but yes,up to some extent we can certainly improve it by medications and good diet.

And by this creams we can lighten the darker area and uneven skin tone.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have more questions.
