Brief Answer:
I would suggest a neck x ray for him
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I would recommend you to get a neck x ray. This will confirm the diagnosis. I have following suggestions for him.
1. Tablet Pregbalin and Methylcobal daily.
2. He should avoid keeping neck in same position for long time.
3. Intermittent cervical traction exercises and soft cervical exercises.
I hope these steps will help him in getting his symptoms relieved. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
Thanks.

He has a primary care doctor how would we let the doctor know about it so she can get him a neck xray?
Brief Answer:
You can tell him that you have neck pain
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You can tell him that you have neck pain also. Otherwise you can share my opinion with him. There is no harm in a x ray as it is non invasive test and not very costly.
Thanks
