Brief Answer:
Probably due to pressure on nerve root or spinal cord

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

the symptoms you mentioned are usually due to nerve problems. Such problems are commonly caused by pressure on the nerve roots or the spinal cord when spinal canal stenosis imposes pressure on nerve roots coming out of the spinal canal or when an intervertebral disc protrudes in the spinal canal and imposes pressure on the spinal cord. The latter is the most likely scenario.
An X-ray of the cervical spine in two levels (face and profile) would be the appropriate first test and depending on the result of the X-ray, a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) would highlight nerve pressure.
If severe symptoms appear (particularly muscle weakness) then you'll need urgent medical attention.
I hope I've helped!
