What Causes Pins And Needles Sensation In The Body?

Posted on Thu, 16 Feb 2017
Question: Hello

I have had widespread pain and pins and needles for almost 7 weeks. The pain and tingling shifts all over.

One minute in my hands, then it moves to my face and then legs and so on. The pain shifts as well.

My Dr has carried out loads of blood tests and said they are all perfect.

I am worried I have MS but I am reading the MS does not shift around the body, the pain or the tingling.

Brief Answer:
MS

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking

Have you made and rheumatoid factors in your blood tests?

An accurate diagnosis for MS is based on your medical history and neurological examination using tests of nervous system function. Much depends on the skill of the doctor in asking the right questions to uncover information and to properly evaluate the signs and symptoms of a malfunctioning nervous system.

I will suggest you

1-Rheumatoid factors blood tests
2-Neurological examination

Hope this helps you

Hi

I have zero anti bodies in my blood or inflammation.

I do not feel you have answered my question at all.

My questions was, does MS shift around the body or is it a specific location?

I have been told that MS is a specific location and cannot effect every joint and limb in the body at once.

About MS symptoms:

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
The MS symtpomatology is very wide.
Some people may only show one symptom that can last for many months without any other changes while others may have several symptoms (tingling and pains) that just don't seem to go away and may in fact progress over the years.
So your symptoms do not typically correlate with them of MS, because once they are installed they last for days or weeks and do not migrate within minutes.
Anyway a detailed clinic examination and further exams will give you a proper response.

Best wishes,
Dr.Esmeralda
