What Causes Pitting And Dependant Edema From Eyebrows Into The Hairline?

Sunburn
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic
Acute sunburn can be very painful and discomforting.
If I was the treating doctor I would suggest you to take a short course of an oral steroids e.g Methylprednisolone 32 mg once daily, after breakfast, for a week OR Prednisolone 40 mg once daily, after breakfast, for a week. Oral steroids are rapidly effective and immediately bring down the swelling and discomfort within 24-36 hours.
Since there is oozing as well, it would be appropriate to begin with oral antibiotics and continue for a week.
My choice of oral antibiotic would have been either:
Amoxycillin 500mg in combination with clavulanic acid 125 mg, thrice daily for a week
OR
Cephalexin (Keflex) 500 mg thrice daily for a week
OR
Cefadroxil 500 mg twice daily for a week.
In addition to oral tablets, you could use topical moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate cream, twice daily for a week.
An OTC pain killer/anti-inflammatory e.g ibuprofen or aspirin can be taken twice or thrice daily to relieve the pain and discomfort.
Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen, preferably spf 50+, throughout the day.
