What Causes Pityriasis Versicolor?

Question: Dry patches that have spread in bikini area
Symptoms: Dry patches around bikini area, not painful or itchy
I have had these dry white patches around my bikini area. I am in no way sexually active. They don't itch and they don't hurt, it's just dry patches . I have asked this question on here before, but now ist seems to have increased in number. I cannot go see a doctor as i do not have health insurance where i live. They seem to have spread. It is ony around the bikini area, and is not itchy or painful in anyay. There seems to be one large one and many other smaller patches. What could this be, please help.

i already submittedc the pictures. i have onnly applied vaseline on it. i have gad it for the past 2 weeks. no i dont have diebetes but my father does.

I think this is most likely pityriasis versicolor. This condition is of fungal aetiology and needs to be treated with antifungal drugs.

Treatment for this consists of:

1. Tab Fluconazole or itaconazole (prescription drug) which is an antifungal drug.
2. Topical antifungal ointment containing clotrimazole (prescription drug).
3. 2% Ketoconazole shampoo lathered over the affected area and left on for 2-5 minutes, repeated daily fr two weeks. (This may be available over the counter).
