What Causes Poison Ivy Like Bumps Around The Wound Site?
Question: 16 days had a foureign body removed from my bicept in the ER! They cut a hole in me and now i have poison ivy like bumps aroond the wound, itches and spreading?

I think a bandaid may have started it... ive tried a few different types, and used itch cream, but it does not go away! I do not have a primary dr and no insurance, so its not as easu as a phone call im afraid... thank you for your tome

No relief with ointment. I believe it is spreading! Ive kept the wound clean, did anyibiotics, etc! Could weight lifting be causing this? Sweat? Any other suggestions that i can try w/o in house tx?

Not related to weight lifting but sweating can aggravate any infection.Oral antibiotics and tab. Benadryl - anti allergic can help. if it does not improve then do attend an ER.
