What Causes Polyarthritis In The Feet Post A Chikungunya Treatment?

Question: I contracted chikingunya in the Dominican Republic in August. I had the classic symptoms. All symptoms were gone within a week, however I now have debilitating polyarthritis in my feet, wrists, and fingers. Tested negative for rheumatoid, although what I have parallels it. I can hardly walk at times, nor make a fist. Very painful every morning? I am in XXXXXXX and doctors here are relatively inexperienced with this. I can not get in to see a rheumatologist for another month

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,
Thank you for posting your query on HCM.
Well looking into your query I will like to tell you that I have few questions to ask . First , how was your chickengunya diagnosed ? Secondly I want reports for rheumatoid factor, Anti ccp antibody , ESR , Also do you have any family history for rheumatoid arthritis . Sometimes arthritis follows chickengunya which can mimic rheumatoid arthritis so we need to establish what is it . Also which joint happens to be affected most ?Any other query please ask .
Take care
