What Causes Poor Hair Growth In Infants?
My daughter is 10 months old, but her hair growth is quite less. We had done her head shave 3 times already in expectation that her hair growth will be better, but no luck. Back side of head growth is still better but front it's quite less. Can you please suggest some oil of some food habits which might result in better growth of hairs?
You may use almond, castor, coconut or olive oil massage
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I completely understand your concerns but don't worry. Poor hair growth is usually due to lack of nutrient rich diet, poor scalp circulation or genetic makeup of child. You may try following measures to help her out:
1. Avoid shampoo daily. Use it once in 2-3 days.
2. Give a warm oil hair massage an hour before bath. You may use almond oil, castor oil, coconut oil or olive oil.
3. Use soft hair brush for combing.
4. Make sure baby is having a healthy balanced diet. For hair, a diet consisting of protein, vitamins D, E, and B12 is very important. Give your baby walnuts, carrots, sweet potatoes, Salmon fish, pumpkin, apricots, egg, spinach etc. These contain a lot of nutrition that will aid hair growth.
Hopefully this will help you.
Take care
