What Causes Premenstrual Symptoms After Unprotected Sex?

Question: Hi doctor, i had a baby 5 months ago. Iv been controlling using condoms. My cycles have varied in these 5 months as in one time was 28 day then 34 day and then 24 day cycle. We had unprotected sex and realised abit too late on day 14 of this cycle. Today is day 19 of my cycle. Recently i feel soo tired no energy for anything. Im getting PMS pains. Like period pains on my lower abdomen too much and right side pelvic area. Also my right leg paining..
Brief Answer:
Chances of pregnancy are there
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
One can have PMS symptoms on the day 19 of the cycle if there is a 24 day cycle in past 6 months.
Moreover, if you had no emergency contraception after the unprotected intercourse around day 14 of the cycle, then there are chances of pregnancy also.
I will suggest you to wait for the periods.
If delayed, then do get a urine pregnancy test done to confirm the diagnosis.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
