What Causes Pressure And Pain In The Jaws?
Question: Hi Someone pressed/pushed around side of forehead and pressed/pushed around side of jaw on opposite side to the forehead and pressed/pushed or twisted in opposite directions. Could this have caused my facial bones or part of forehead to move backward (inward towards back of head) and upward or any direction and could doing this have moved the position of my jaw? (forward back to side or any direction) I didn't notice pain but was worried if this could change the position/depth/shape of face or facial features (eyes, nose, etc)?
Brief Answer:
No.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HealthcareMagic.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
The answer to your question is no, there can't be displacement of facial bones in such fashion.
The temporomandibular joint may be displaced like that, but since there is no pain and no difficulty swallowing, this can't happen too.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Let me know if I could assist you further.
Take care.
No.

It's not possible for the incident described above to cause any changes in shape or position (move backwards, sideways, upward, or any direction, etc) of facial bones or any part of face?

Brief Answer:
A lot of pain should be present if that happened.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.
It is very unlikely.
If there was a displacement, it could be due to fractured facial bones, and in such case, you should feel a lot of pain.
Hope this helps.

So I can conclude if I didn't notice pain there couldn't be any changes in position /shape of facial bones or any change in position/shape of any part of face or any change in position/shape of facial features (eyes, nose, lips, etc) from this incident?
The bones in the face/head also couldn't have flattened or elevated from this incident above, right?
