What Causes Pressure In The Head Along With Flu?

default
Posted on Sat, 11 Nov 2017
Question: I only feel good after taking strong antibiotics. I feel good for 1 or 2 months and start to feel bad again: run down, lots of head pressure , get colds easily, hard to concentrate, some flu like symptoms. Can't ever exercise as I feel wiped out afterwards and can't concentrate. Have bad seasonal allergies. Take about 4 courses of antibiotics per year for past 6 years. The only way I feel somewhat ok is taking magnesium, b vitamins, fermented food, probiotics and fish oil. Took a lymes test came back negative but understand false negative very common

Brief Answer:
Chronic sinsusitis

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir,

I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but it seems that you are suffering of complications of chronic sinusitis which includes persistent headaches, head pressures, sense of fullness , flu like symptoms , difficult concentration and recurrent infections..

The cause to this chronic sinusitis can be due to abnormalities of the nasal septum or the presence of nasal polyps which is the most common cause besides allergy ..

I would recommmend that you follow the following medication regimen .. a daily antihistaminic as citrizine once before going to bed together with a mast cell stabilizer as singulair for 14 days repeated every three months..

This should be accompanied by a nasal decongestant as Flonase together with daily nasal irrigation with saline ..

I would also recommend that you schedule for a nasal endoscopy to either exclude or confirm the presence of nasal polyps .. I hope you find this helpful . if you don't have any other clarifications then please close the discussion..
