What Causes Pressure In Upper Left Chest And Armpit?
Question: Hello,
Sometimes I get a pressure/tightness in my upper left chest/armpit/shoulder. This is around quite often but I find that sometimes if I eat something fatty (like McDonalds) it comes on even worse. I don't feel anything in the middle of my chest like heartburn it is only in my chest/armpit/shoulder area. I had a stress test, echocardiogram and chest x rays about a year ago and all of those came back negative of any issues. Any ideas what could cause this?
Brief Answer:
Possible gallbladder issues...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your medical history and feel sorry for the situation you are in.
Your clinical symptoms are indicative for gallbladder problems (stones, sludge). I suggest to run:
- abdominal ultrasound
- complete blood work
- measure liver enzymes and bilirubin level
for further evaluation.
Hope it was of help! Let me know if you have further questions!

Hello,
I have had these symptoms for just over two years now and they come and go. What would cause these to come back but then go away sometimes?
I also feel like a brain fog quite often. Is there anything that could be contributing to that as well?
Thanks!
Brief Answer:
Must run further tests first...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
As mentioned earlier, you must run further tests to determine the right cause.
With regards to feeling brain fog often, I'd suggest to do a lipid profile testing and measure your blood sugar levels to exclude problems with blood fats and sugar.
Hope it helped!
