What Causes Pricking Sensation In Left Side Of Chest?
Question: I am experiencing pin prick like pain in the left of my chest, it comes and goes but is becoming more frequent and is nearly a daily occurrence. ..I am 44, I smoke

Your problem is most likely costochondritis. While palpation on the rib area you will feel pain in this condition. But considering a left sided pain and your age it is is better to have an ecg to rule out a cardiac cause of it.
Do you have any associated gastric symptoms like heart burn?
If no then a gastric cause of it also unlikely.
For costochondritis I advise anti inflammatory gels for local application. That one you can even get as over the counter like diclofenac gel in brands like volini. In case the pain is more then I consider oral tablets of diclofenac or nimusulide.
If pain is not relieving by these measures then I recommend local injection of corticosteroids or anesthetic.
