What Causes Progressive Numbness In Fingers Moving To Wrists And Forearms?
Consultation in-office, with a neurologist needed.
Detailed Answer:
Dr. Hanif warmly welcomes you!
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I want to assure, I will take care all of your medical concerns.
There are many reasons for such a progressive numbness and loss of sensations starting from periphery and advancing towards proximal areas. On top is the diagnosis is Guillain Barre syndrome.
My question is: Did you have any recent 2-4 weeks back, respiratory or gastrointestinal illness??
You need a consultation with the neurologist because if this is GB syndrome, it needs urgent treatment and care, as it progresses in hours and days, involving even the respiratory muscles and may even lead to death due respiratory failure. It is a serious disease. So fix an appointment there and then and get proper physical examination and treatment accordingly.
Hope I answered all of your questions. In future, if you need further, detailed and quick assistance on any health issue, feel free to ask me a question by writing my name as a reference in the start of your question. I will get back to you right away. Have a wonderful time ahead.
Regards!
