What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding Post Miscarriage?
Regards,
XXXX
Most likely nothing to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
I understand your anxiety related to the issue.
As long as bHCG is normal there is nothing much to worry.
And if the bleeding you are having ranges from just 1-2 pads a day it is alright, just give it time and it will subside.
But in case you have heavier bleeding and experiencing weakness then you need tablets to stop bleeding for which I usually give tranexemic acid tablets thrice a day.
But before taking the tablets (in case you have heavy bleeding) get an ultrasound done to see retained products in the uterine cavity and then discuss with your gynecologist if findings on ultrasound demand repeat d&c or just tranexemic acid will serve the purpose.
You can discuss anything with me further anytime.

Also is there a way that I can reduce the flow through my food intake? Like a few say avoid Iron rich food as it increases the blood flow and some say have Iron rich food so that the bleeding will stop soon, I am unable to come to a conclusion. What care should I take in terms of food intake for this period.

precautions advised
Detailed Answer:
Hi, XXXXXXX there is no foodstuff which can increase or decrease the uterine bleeding.
And Iron should be taken to increase the formation of blood components and thus make up the loss of blood in uterine bleeding so far.
So jeep taking green leafy vegetables, pomegranate, guava, apples and jaggery.
At the same time, taking sour stuff like lemonade or orange juice along with these foodstuffs increases the absorption of iron.
Take ample amount of water daily.
Take care.
