Brief Answer:
ultrasound and blood tests
Detailed Answer:
Hello
At your age prolonged bleeding is usually due hormonal dysfunction or pelvic pathology . If the pelvic exam was clear then it's likely that you may have a hormonal dysfunction. Check you hormone levels and get an ultrasound . Thyroid dysfunction and polycystic ovaries have to be ruled out first . If you are over weight then it could be due to either of these . Follow your doctor's advice and get the tests . You have to lose weight too as suggested . But will need hormonal medication also .
