What Causes Prominent Vein On Shaft Of The Penis?

Question: I have hard string like veins on my penis. The string like veins just appeared under the skin. They run on the right side, from the base up the side and kind of spider web out. There is also a small bump on the base on one of the string like veins. The veins become more apparent once I get an erection. The veins have been there for over 3 weeks.
