What would cause increased right side atrium pressure?Isn't that a heart disease?I'm very concerned about this but dr didnt order further testing. Should i request further testing?
Brief Answer:
No further tests necessary.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
Prominent vein in neck maybe due to raised Central venous pressure, which indicates right atrial pressure..
Your doctor has checked it and found that it is within the normal range clinically.
It is mostly useful during intravenous fluids support to avoid over hydration and load on heart.
As you are well, it alone does not indicate anything. Your heart should be normal with all tests being normal.
No further tests necessary for now. Do not worry.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.

So even though it has been 9 months since my stress test and echo you don't think something new with my heart could have developed? What could my dr tell just by listening to the veinwith a stethoscope?
Brief Answer:
For carotid artery stenosis
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
Stethoscope over the veins is basically for evaluation of artery beside it. The carotid artery.
Any narrowing is evaluated as carotid brui - carotid artery stenosis.
Its not present. Not to worry.
Prominent veins is visually seen, while carotid arteries are listened with stethoscope.
Hope it helps.

Is it ok that when I rub the vein I can see blood flow down? Just not sure if something new has come up in the last 9 months
Brief Answer:
It is normal for vein to do it.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
You are looking at vein, which you can easily appreciate as the skin is thinned out, due to age related changes.
The blood flow can be easily appreciated and when pressed/rubbed, you can still better appreciate. It is sometimes called as filling test and is normal for veins to show that type of activity.
If you keep the area dry, within 4-6 weeks, the fungal infection will disappear. Not to worry.
Hope it helps.
