What Causes Pulsating Pain In The Lower Groin Area, around The Hip?
Brief Answer:
Need clarification...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am not sure if you meant "brief, pulsating pain in my lower torso". If you did not mean pain can you clarify.
If you are otherwise alright, it doesn't seem to be a concern. We can discuss about it further.

I have just returned from a short break away and read your reply to my question. By "brief" I meant a slight short throb in my lower groin area, around my hip area. It seems to have stopped now after three days. I will probably never know what it was, however, it was something have not experience before. If you can throw any light on my question still, I would be very interested to know. Many thanks.XXXX
Brief Answer:
Observing it will be the strategy....
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
I am glad you are better now. So I shall enlighten you about possible cause.
Short intermittent aches are typical of colic pains. Here in the groin region, colicy pain is related to small hernia and referred pain from a renal stone / ovarian - fallopian tube pathology. Similarly pelvic organ infections can be referred to this area.
Since you do not report / noticed other associated complaints, I would name referred pain from a passing kidney stone as the most likely cause. But if you can retrospectively brush your memory and think if you had abnormal discharge pervaginally; pain/discomfort while passing urine; unusual stool movement; nausea; vomiting; fever, other conditions need to be considered.
At this moment, I would not alarm you. Watch for any new symptoms during the next couple of weeks. Make sure you keep hydrated. Maintain good personal hygiene. Consider a visit to a GP if things trouble you.
Hope this helped. Feel free to ask for clarifications before closing the discussion.
Regards

Thank you so much for your time and attention to detail. I will print out your answer and be observant, as suggested. I simply didn't want to have to panic as I was going away. GP's are great, but not always when you want a little more TLC. Many thanks once again - money well spent. Kind regards. XXXX
