What Causes Pulsating Sensation In Lower Left Back Post Gall Bladder Removal?
Question: I had my gallbladder out XXXXXXX 29 and although most of the symptoms have resolved about 2 weeks post surgery I started having pulsing in my lower left back. occasionally it is in the front of my abdomen. It is like feeling my heartbeat in my back/abdomen. It isn't constant, just on and off all day. Is this something to get checked out?
Brief Answer:
Needs cardiac evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.
I dont think you need to worry.
It is unlikely to be another gastroenterological cause,
However, if I was seeing a patient in my clinic, I would definitely have asked for EKG and echocardiography along with a stress test if needed to rule out a cardiac cause of these symptoms.
This is because your symptoms suggest a possible short duration tachycardia, or conditions called Atrial fibrillation and the similar group if diseases. This group needs to be ruled out.
I therefore suggest the same to you.
Best of luck.
